Refund policy

30-Day Return Policy

We offer a 30-day return period from the date your order is delivered. To be eligible for a return, you must contact us within 30 days of receiving your item.

To qualify for a return, the item must:

  • Be unused, unworn, and in resalable condition.
  • Be returned with all original packaging, accessories, manuals, and tags.
  • Not be assembled, installed, modified, or damaged after delivery.
  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase, such as your order confirmation or receipt.

Items returned without prior authorisation from SportZone may be refused and returned to the sender.

Change of Mind Returns

If you change your mind about your purchase, you may request a return within 30 days of delivery, provided the item meets the eligibility requirements outlined above.

For approved change-of-mind returns:

  • A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • The item must be received and inspected by our team before a refund is processed.

The restocking fee helps cover handling, inspection, administration, repackaging, and supplier processing costs associated with returned goods.

Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

If your item arrives damaged, faulty, defective, or if you receive the wrong product, please contact us as soon as possible and provide:

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Clear photographs or videos showing the damage, defect, or incorrect item.

Once assessed and approved, SportZone will provide instructions for the return and, where applicable, a prepaid return shipping label.

Where a product is confirmed to be faulty, damaged in transit, or supplied incorrectly, SportZone will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable New Zealand consumer laws. This may include repair, replacement, refund, or reimbursement of reasonable return shipping costs.

Once your request has been reviewed, our support team will provide the appropriate return address and return instructions.

Please do not return items without first obtaining return authorisation, as unauthorised returns may be delayed, refused, or returned to the sender.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct product exchanges.

If you would like a different item, colour, size, or model, the quickest option is to return the original item (subject to approval) and place a new order separately.

Refund Process

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome of your return request.

If approved:

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  • Refunds are typically processed within 10 business days of approval.
  • Your bank, credit card provider, or payment processor may require additional time to complete the transaction.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items may not be eligible for return unless required by law:

  • Used or assembled products.
  • Products returned without original packaging.
  • Personal care, hygiene, or health-related products where packaging has been opened.
  • Clearance, final sale, or specially ordered items (unless faulty).
  • Products damaged through misuse, neglect, improper installation, or normal wear and tear.
